Responsibilities- Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
- Clean and sanitize therapy equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Maintain a well-organized work area by performing routine cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and returning equipment to its proper location.
- Stock treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Order and put away supplies in a timely manner.
- Set up equipment and treatment areas for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Assist in direct or indirect patient care activities under the guidance of licensed professionals, including functional mobility training, strengthening exercises, and range of motion activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, such as mentoring volunteers and interns, conducting audits, and maintaining various logs.
- Assist with clerical tasks, including scheduling, as needed.
- Program and Professional Development
- Facilitate a smooth and efficient department operation.
- Participate in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and hospital meetings to stay informed and contribute to the team's success.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Conduct all aspects of the job in an ethical manner, upholding the hospital's commitment to ethical behavior.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with people and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
