Learning and Development Director

About the Role:

The Director of Learning and Performance Strategies will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive learning and performance strategies that enable Metro Health to effectively leverage its talent for future growth while reinforcing its mission, vision, and values.

This role will direct and ensure alignment between broad talent management and organizational objectives and the creation of tools, resources, and education to enable successful execution of a learning and development strategy, including e-learning and classroom courses, workshops, and other trainings.

The Director will lead the development and continuous improvement of the system-wide performance management processes that support the departmental and system-wide goals and objectives and integrate performance management into all phases of leadership development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive learning and performance strategies that align with Metro Health's mission, vision, and values.
  • Direct and ensure alignment between broad talent management and organizational objectives.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of system-wide performance management processes.
  • Integrate performance management into all phases of leadership development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build trust and achieve success.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related degree.
  • Five years of experience in instructional design and the development of learning or performance programs.
  • Strong HR experience in the areas of Talent Management, Learning and Development, or Organizational Development.
  • Significant experience in managing and influencing employees and leaders to achieve success.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of employment and present to groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Education, Organization Development, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Healthcare experience with a major hospital system.
  • Prior management experience.
