Senior Fundraising Professional

Cleveland nonprofit is seeking a skilled Senior Fundraising Professional to lead its fundraising efforts. This full-time role is hybrid, with work completed from home and in office.

The Senior Fundraising Professional will be responsible for securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan to meet fundraising goals.
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Complete the sales life cycle from prospect to funder.
  • Track all touch points via a CRM system.
  • Maintain a portfolio of donors.
  • Prepare reports and manage meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees.
  • Presentations to funders, groups, and at events.
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Oversight and follow-up for accounts receivable accounts.
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.
  • Generate donor communications, newsletters, and annual reports.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on progress towards fundraising goals.
  • Provide leadership to the fundraising committee and staff.
  • Network and maintain regular correspondence with donors.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Applied understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Strong prospect identification and qualification skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Proficiency with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and delegation skills.
  • Experience with online fundraising and email marketing.
  • Availability to work outside of normal work hours occasionally.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of fundraising or nonprofit experience.
  • Previous management experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts.
