Chicago Public Media is seeking a seasoned Chief Development Officer to lead our fundraising efforts and drive growth in philanthropic revenue. As a key member of our leadership team, you will develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual and long-term goals.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute a diversified fundraising plan to maximize financial growth, including annual and multi-year goals and strategies.
  • Create new strategies to increase and diversify revenue, including donor acquisition and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO on fundraising objectives and contribute to strategic revenue-generating plans.
  • Build relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors to increase financial support.
  • Recruit, train, and manage fundraising staff to achieve team goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify fundraising opportunities and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain financial projections and budgets.
  • Oversee contributed revenue and expenses, projections, and forecasting.
Requirements
  • Passion for public media and commitment to the organization's mission.
  • Leadership experience in major gifts, foundations, and corporate giving.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CRM data and technology.
