Position Overview:

Cox Communications is seeking a Senior Security Compliance Analyst to work under the guidance of the Senior Director of Operations. This role is essential in supporting compliance and governance initiatives across various frameworks and standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the implementation and upkeep of security controls while enhancing the overall compliance and cybersecurity strategy to promote scalability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary compliance liaison among business units, engineering, and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Cox Communications is effectively applying and sustaining relevant security controls while adhering to corporate standards.
  • Oversee and improve the controls necessary for achieving and maintaining compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct routine testing of these controls as needed.
  • Manage various compliance programs, including SOC 2 and the Information Security Management System in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards.
  • Clearly communicate compliance status, timelines, risks, and remediation efforts to leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive procedures, documentation, and records to support compliance initiatives.
  • Develop, update, and manage remediation plans in collaboration with designated remediation owners, ensuring tracking to closure.
  • Maintain tools and processes that facilitate governance of compliance activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in related areas such as information security controls, IT audit, or security risk management. Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience with at least two of the following frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or NIST.
  • Possession of at least one relevant industry certification, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and effective time management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with security engineering principles.
  • Experience in professional services audit or consulting is advantageous.
