Cox Communications is seeking a Senior Security Compliance Analyst who will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations. This role is pivotal in supporting compliance and governance activities across various frameworks and standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS. The selected candidate will play a key role in the implementation and upkeep of security controls while enhancing the compliance and cybersecurity programs to ensure they are effective and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the compliance liaison among business units, engineering, and sales teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Cox Communications is effectively implementing and maintaining necessary security controls, comprehending their operations, and adhering to corporate standards.
- Continuously monitor and improve the controls required to achieve and sustain compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards. Conduct routine testing of these controls as necessary.
- Oversee multiple compliance initiatives, including SOC 2 and the Information Security Management System aligned with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards.
- Clearly communicate compliance status, timelines, risks, and remediation efforts to leadership.
- Maintain comprehensive procedures, documentation, and records essential for compliance initiatives.
- Develop, update, and manage remediation plans in collaboration with remediation owners, ensuring tracking to closure.
- Sustain tools and processes that facilitate governance of compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in areas such as information security controls, IT audit, or security risk management. Alternative combinations may include a master’s degree with 2 years of experience, a Ph.D. with 1 year of experience, or 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with at least two of the following frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or NIST.
- One relevant industry certification, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve business objectives.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management capabilities.
- Familiarity with security engineering principles.
- Background in professional services audit or consulting is advantageous.
