Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments for new clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with families and referral sources regarding client progress, as permitted by client consent.
  • Document daily progress and group notes for clients.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients when necessary.
  • Participate in scheduled site evaluations.
  • Provide crisis intervention as required.
  • Engage in documentation and treatment plan reviews.
  • Prepare materials for group sessions and research new methodologies for inclusion in both group and individual therapy.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care and aftercare, following up to ensure adherence to aftercare plans.
  • Conduct family meetings to discuss client progress.
  • Assist clients in managing their budgets.
  • Lead daily educational and experiential group sessions.
  • Develop and implement individualized client schedules, communicating needs to the treatment team.
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges with the Program Manager.
  • Attend all mandatory clinical and staff meetings, as well as required training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager on all client-related actions.
  • Comply with all regulations set forth by DHCS, Agency, JCAHO, and other governing bodies.
  • Maintain an active drug and alcohol certification/license through a DHCS-approved organization.
  • Participate in industry-related workshops, training, and conferences for professional growth (prior approval required).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Current certification from a licensed board of alcohol and drug counseling educators or registered RADT-1.
  • One to three years of experience as an AOD/SUD Counselor or Case Manager, with strong professional references.
  • Knowledge of process addiction and treatment resources is beneficial.
  • Advanced skills in assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with the treatment and referral community.
  • Understanding of dual diagnosis treatment practices, including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
Additional Requirements:

Must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification, TB test, health screening, and medical clearance to work, and pass pre-employment drug screenings.

Compensation:

$20 - $24 per hour
