We are seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor II who is certified in substance use disorder counseling. This senior-level position involves delivering both individual and group counseling services, conducting thorough assessments, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate client requirements and create tailored treatment strategies
  • Educate clients on behavioral issues
  • Lead various therapeutic groups while managing a caseload
  • Offer counseling assistance and crisis management
  • Perform assessments and ensure proper documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners
  • Stay informed about relevant training and share insights with the team

Qualifications

  • Certification from a recognized alcohol and drug counseling organization is mandatory
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in substance use treatment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • CPR and First Aid certification is required
