About the Role:
Comprehensive Addiction Programs Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Overnight Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will provide direct services to individuals struggling with addiction, promoting their recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of each client's needs, developing individualized treatment plans that address their unique challenges and goals.
- Counseling and Case Management: Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions, as well as case management services, to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Group Facilitation: Lead mixed-gender and gender-specific groups, incorporating trauma-informed curriculum and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Caseload Management: Maintain a caseload as prescribed by the Program Manager, ensuring timely and effective support for clients.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, providing crisis intervention and referrals to community resources as needed.
Requirements:
- Certification: Certification through a recognized alcohol and drug certification entity is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with alcohol and drug-related issues is preferred.
- Education: A degree in a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
