Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you'll provide in-depth troubleshooting assistance to Geotab Resellers and staff, leveraging your well-rounded knowledge of our products to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to resellers
  • Support resellers and internal resources via phone, ticketing system, email, and in-person for all Geotab and integrated products
  • Gather relevant information by evaluating and analyzing symptoms to resolve technical hardware and software issues involving connectivity, installation, and software inquiries
  • Effectively manage issue queues, asking targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem and ensuring all issues are properly logged
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at once
  • Leverage knowledge learned from support issues to improve the reliability and operability of Geotab products
  • Participate in new product development testing as required
  • Provide on-site support where applicable
  • Complete ongoing training/research to stay current on new and existing Geotab products, accessories, and offerings
  • Support Geotab global strategic initiatives
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule (if applicable)
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in an Engineering Support role
  • 3+ years of experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset
  • Strong aptitude for understanding and breaking down complex technical problems
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in one or more areas of the Geotab product suite
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
  • Technical competence using software programs, including Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, Excel
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
