Truss Sales Representative Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Truss Sales Representative to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling wood roof and floor trusses to general contractors and builders of single-family homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development: Prospect and acquire new customers, maintain and expand relationships with existing customers, and develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Product Expertise: Educate customers on the benefits and features of wood roof and floor trusses, provide technical assistance and guidance to customers, and stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and regulations related to truss systems.
  • Quoting and Proposals: Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes and proposals based on customer specifications and project requirements, and negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality service, and coordinate with customers and contractors to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the construction industry with knowledge of wood trusses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand construction blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
  • Bi-lingual is strongly preferred.
