Position Overview

The Director of Corporate Development Finance plays a pivotal role in driving finance for Corporate Development initiatives at Intuitive. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Development & Digital Finance, this individual will support Senior Executives in strategic investments across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate growth opportunities for Intuitive and support the Sr. Director, Corporate Development & Digital Finance in strategic investments.
  • Research markets, technologies, and organizations to assess strategic fit and financial value.
  • Lead a team of managers and analysts who support Corporate Development initiatives, operating as a player-coach.
  • Partner with Business Unit managers and deal teams on key diligence areas that impact valuation and transaction structure for M&A and VC deals.
  • Deliver financial models and valuation analyses for BD and venture capital investments, including acquisitions, licenses, equity investments, joint ventures, and partnerships.
  • Coordinate strategic investments with Business Unit managers, BD teams, and the finance organization.
  • Support the Venture Capital team by partnering on investment diligence, developing investment models, and tracking return on investments.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in medical device Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Equity Research, Buy Side, or Venture Capital roles.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience leading deal teams, developing M&A models, executing VC investments, managing diligence processes, and providing value perspectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Inquisitiveness and ability to navigate ambiguous circumstances.
  • Profound cogent and critical thinking skills.
  • Medical device industry experience and ability to master our organizational strengths.
  • Exceptional deal structure, business modeling, and valuation expertise.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in our Sunnyvale office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Periodic travel is necessary to support due diligence efforts and projects.
