Equipment Programmer Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Programmer Assistant to join our team at PDM. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for preparing and programming cutting-edge fabrication equipment to produce high-quality steel parts.
Key Responsibilities- Programming and Nesting: Utilize advanced software to program and nest incoming files for fabrication machines, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Cut Card Preparation: Read, understand, and verify cut card information, including type, size, weight, cut length, lot number, and sequence number, to ensure accurate cutting.
- Machine Operation: Understand the operation of various fabrication machines, including the Angle Master, Plasma/Punch Plate Machine, fully automated Drill and Saw line, and Plasma Tube Cutter.
- Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of cut parts and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in G-code & M-code programming, Tekla EPM fabrication management software, and other relevant software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Currently enrolled in an engineering or technical program, with a strong interest in manufacturing and fabrication.
