Job Summary

As a Power Equipment Operator at Kline Electric, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of power equipment used in construction, excavation, or other industrial applications. You will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, and assist in various tasks to support project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate power equipment including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with team members to coordinate equipment use and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment and machinery.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment use and maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL Class A.
  • Proven experience operating power equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Valid driver's license and certification for operating specific types of power equipment (if applicable).
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
  • Stamina to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
Safety Requirements:
  • Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
  • Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
Work Environment:

Indoors and outdoors in various settings, exposed to extreme weather, confined spaces, and high elevations.

  • Protective equipment is required in noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
  • Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
  • Overtime, weekend, and emergency work may be required.
