Position Overview

The Exercise Planner #2 plays a crucial role in facilitating exercise planning for military operations from the Division to Theater level. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the successful execution of exercises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the comprehensive planning of exercises across various military divisions.
  • Oversee the operations, activities, and actions associated with exercise management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate all facets of exercise operations, including design, planning, preparation, execution, and analysis.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-dimensional projects.
  • Possession of a BA or BS degree, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Graduate of a U.S. military staff college.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in planning and managing groups of military and civilian personnel.
  • At least two years of experience in Joint and Combined military doctrine and training methodologies.
  • Experience in developing scenarios and control structures for large-scale exercises.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer simulation models for exercise facilitation.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport equipment as needed.
  • Willingness to travel and work at various training locations.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain necessary clearances.
