Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at American Cooling Systems, LLC. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role
  • We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on the location in Grand Rapids, MI, and industry standards.
  • You will have 2+ years of experience in technical sales or a related field, preferably in the engine cooling industry.
Key Responsibilities
  1. BUILD STRONG CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS:
  2. PROSPECT FOR NEW BUSINESS AT OEMS, COOLING SUPPLIERS, AND OTHER ENGINE/GENERATOR INTEGRATORS:
  3. Maintain regular contact with Company Leadership to discuss and define strategies to take advantage of sales and marketing opportunities that arise:
  4. Document daily activities in Salesforce (CRM); also create Customer Contact and Monthly Reports:
  5. Represent the company in industry trade and professional associations as required to develop and promote positive relationships thru networking and grow product sales:
  6. Act ethically, leading by example and earning the respect and trust of co-workers, customers, and other stakeholders:
  7. Set aggressive sales targets and follow up until the sale is closed:
  8. Develop and execute Prospecting Campaigns in conjunction with the Sales Director that includes letters to new business, cold calling, and other techniques that produce new business:
  9. Calling on existing customers to ascertain new business opportunities and maintain a positive image of our company:
  10. Perform sales interviews with prospective customers and identify client needs:
  11. Contact existing customers on a schedule that ensures the understanding of the customer's business; explore new business opportunities, resolves problems, thus improving customer satisfaction that develops positive business relationships:
  12. Manage and maintain relationships and accounts in the assigned territory with OEMs, Cooling Suppliers, Distributors, and others within the engine cooling Ecosystem including meetings, projects, quotes, complaints, warranty claims, past due invoices, debits, credits, etc.:
  13. Keep a clean and a safe work environment:
  14. Know/understand the Quality System (QMS/ISO9001) and proper environmental and safety procedures (EMS/ISO14001):
