Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Clackamas County Children's Commission. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering food and materials to our Head Start locations daily, ensuring timely transportation and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Agency Vehicles Safely: Ensure safe and efficient transportation of perishable foods and materials, adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain Kitchen Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the kitchen area, meeting Health Department standards.
  • Manage Deliveries: Verify the accuracy of all pickups and deliveries, documenting delivery temperatures to maintain food safety.
  • Purchase and Pick Up Supplies: Purchase and pick up food and supplies from local retailers and wholesale vendors.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and refueling on agency vehicles, carts, and equipment.
  • Report Repairs: Report any needed repairs to vehicle to Facilities Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Report Suspected Child Abuse: Report suspected child abuse in accordance with Oregon Statute and Head Start procedures.
  • Attend Training Sessions: Attend and actively participate in training sessions and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Collaborate with other staff to provide services to children and families.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Engage with Community: Engage with children, families, and community members in a supportive and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: U.S. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Ability to carry out oral and written directions, read, and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties of the position.
  • Driver's License: Current driver's license, two years of driving experience, and a driving record that meets agency requirements.
  • Lifting Ability: Ability to lift 50 pounds daily.
