Job Summary:

Live Nation Entertainment is a global leader in live entertainment, and we're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Security Host. As a Security Host, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff at our live events.

About the Role:

As a Security Host, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
  • Preventing and resolving altercations among guests
  • Leading guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and providing assistance
  • Maintaining control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift
  • Checking identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue
  • Ensuring that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search
  • Enforcing House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
  • Safeguarding against theft and property damage
  • Communicating clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights. Remaining in constant contact throughout the shift
  • Setting up the area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)
  • Keeping the interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash, or other obstacles, before, during, and after the shift


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to work late hours
  • Flexible schedule
  • 3 years' work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms


Preferred Qualifications:

We're looking for individuals with:

  • Bilingual
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience recognizing valid IDs
  • Experience in a live music environment
  • Self-defense training
  • Experience using metal detection equipment
  • EMT or other medical background


Physical Demands/Working Environment:

This role requires:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud, and stressful
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
