The Gallery Host is responsible for creating a welcoming and exceptional experience for our guests by providing personalized service, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment, and ensuring that all guests' needs are met.
Responsibilities- Guest Service
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes, including verifying registration information and balancing bank postings.
- Provide information to guests and visitors, and coordinate special requests for services.
- Answer hotel telephones and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Food and Beverage Service
- Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean, and provide quality beverages and food products to guests.
- Assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverage items in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operational Excellence
- Follow brand-specific operational policies and procedures, including those for cash and credit card handling, safety and security, and other policies and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for guests, including clearing tables during service.
- A minimum of one month of related experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Previous customer service experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- Requires strong ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment with constant guest interaction.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and develop alternative solutions.
- Ability to multi-task and manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and treat others with respect and consideration.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.
