Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing reservations and managing the front desk operations.
  • Allocating sections to front servers and server assistants.
  • Ensuring an efficient flow and rotation of guest seating.
  • Creating a comprehensive daily reservation sheet for the team with all necessary details.
  • Welcoming guests and facilitating a smooth transition to their designated dining areas.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Chef and management regarding service needs.
  • Managing guests' outerwear and personal belongings securely.
  • Preparing and updating menus and shift summary notes.
  • Exhibiting clear and persuasive communication skills in various situations.
  • Upholding high service standards to guarantee an exceptional guest experience.
  • Embodying and promoting the company's vision and values.
  • Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to learning.
  • Participating in pre-service and closing duties as required.
  • Familiarizing oneself with daily menu offerings.
  • Engaging in service and culinary training sessions.
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Host role within an upscale dining environment.
  • Proficient in reservation systems such as Tock, Open Table, and 7 Rooms.
  • A genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Able to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere and receptive to feedback.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and navigate stairs while carrying multiple items.
