The Regional Vice President of Operations - Chicagoland area is responsible for ensuring a high level of quality care in the assigned region, adhering to established nursing standards and resident rights. This role supports the implementation of facility policy and state regulations, promoting a culture of excellence in long-term care.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Administrators are prepared for successful state inspections, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the completion of accurate and timely census and competitive analysis reports for the region.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to Administrators and facilities, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring regional compliance with state regulations.
- Review incident reports and follow-up notes to ensure proper procedure is followed and documented.
- Attend facility meetings, maintaining effective interdepartmental and interpersonal relations with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Hire, train, and manage the management team assigned to the regional community, maximizing resident care and operating within budget.
- Plan, assign, and direct work, evaluating performance and rewarding or disciplining employees as needed.
- Address complaints and resolve problems within the region, upholding resident and family satisfaction.
- Budgetary responsibilities include reviewing financial and budget transactions, assisting with budget development, and budgetary control.
- Long Term Care - Nursing Home experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum 3 years management experience required.
- General knowledge of professional basic nursing, restorative, and personal care services.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspondence.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with coworkers.
The physical demands of this role include moving intermittently throughout the workday, pushing, pulling, moving, and/or lifting a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet, and being able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and ability to travel within the assigned region, up to 75%, is required.
