Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading a team of field sales representatives to achieve regional sales targets. This includes overseeing and leading the identification of business opportunities, building and fostering client relationships, and ensuring the effective sales of Nevro's products to meet/exceed sales forecasts and goals.

  • Grow the business with current and new customers.
  • Train, coach, and direct District Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Associate Sales Representatives, and Therapy Consultants.
  • Fiscal budgetary responsibility.
  • Asset/inventory management.
  • Develop and ensure proper execution of regional business plans that identify opportunities within the current customer base.
  • Help formulate sales strategies with direct reports to meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Initiate and evaluate corporate pricing agreements with customers to ensure competitive value of product lines.
  • Submit periodic reports detailing activities, sales volumes, and training needs.
  • Help ensure the success of sales/marketing plans and sales objectives through sales efforts directed towards sales associates and customers.
  • Prospect for new customers and drive lead follow-up with direct reports.
  • Positively position Nevro's products and services to existing and new clients in the region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to counter competitors.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with key decision makers, customers, and their staff.
  • Train and educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  • Utilize internal platforms to ensure flawless execution of product delivery to clients and patients.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute local educational and sales events to augment business and help deliver assigned sales goals.
  • Represent Nevro at industry conferences and maximize potential by targeting specific customers to gain sales leads and pursue opportunities to promote the company's product range.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships within the company to ensure maximum sales support and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Contribute to the development of a strong team effort.
  • Recognize and understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to Nevro's products.
  • Provide a high level of service with patient outcomes held in the highest regard.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire sales and clinical professionals as the region requires.
  • Visit customers and patients in a clinical environment.
  • Communicate with patients and clients as needed.
  • Travel daily within the region.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Minimum of ten years of medical device or medical products sales experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Proven sales management or related leadership success.
  • Leadership and motivation skills as demonstrated by a record of involvement in team, fraternal, or philanthropic organizations.
  • Goal setting and implementation skills demonstrated by a clear record of accomplishments in prior personal and professional pursuits.
  • Operating room sales highly desirable.
  • Analytical skills, including statistical analysis preferable.
  • PC skills necessary (MS Office/Excel) and experience with sales force automation tools a plus.
  • Possess high empathy and compassion for patients.
  • Adhere to company policies and conduct all business in an ethical manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
Target Pay Range

Base Salary between $125k-$150k and bonus variable based on revenue generated in the region. The final starting salary offer will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography.
