Job Summary

The Strategic Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and executing engagement strategies for the philanthropic parent community at Brown University. This individual will be responsible for coordinating events, managing relationships, and providing administrative support to the senior director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to maximize philanthropic parent community involvement
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and communications to foster relationships and build trust
  • Provide administrative support to the senior director, including data management and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship goals
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and university staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field, such as fundraising, education, non-profits, and/or marketing
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project/time management skills
  • Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing applications, including Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Brown University experience
  • Knowledge of event planning and philanthropy
  • Experience with Blackbaud
