Renewable Energy Systems Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our Renewable Energy Systems business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to drive business growth, improve profitability, and enhance our market position.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement business strategies to meet short and mid-term goals, aligning with the company's vision and objectives.
- Own the profit and loss (P&L) for the Renewable Energy Systems business unit, ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds targets.
- Lead a team of experienced professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and engineering, to drive business growth and improve market share.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats, and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure effective risk management, compliance with company policies and procedures, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, economics, business, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in capital projects, preferably in metals, material handling, solar, oil and gas, or related industries.
- Proven track record of leading and developing managers, with a strong focus on business growth, profitability, and market share.
- Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, change management, and influencing skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective systems, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the time.
- Advanced degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience leading a business unit with P&L accountability in a technical, project-based business.
- Experience in a business with foreign ownership, preferably Japanese.
