Position Overview:

OpenGov is in search of a talented Marketing Operations Specialist to become a part of our vibrant Revenue Operations team—supporting Go-To-Market Leadership in strategic initiatives, program management, and analytical reporting. This position encompasses a wide range of collaborative responsibilities, including enhancing and scaling operational processes, executing marketing campaigns via our marketing automation and CRM systems, developing campaign and funnel analytics, managing the contact database, and serving as a key collaborator with the entire Marketing team. You will ensure that our marketing efforts are seamlessly coordinated, executed, assessed, and optimized in conjunction with our Sales and Customer Success teams to maximize impact and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional go-to-market partners (growth marketing & marketing leadership, sales operations, sales, customer success, etc.) to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary business owner of Marketo (or future Marketing Automation platforms), overseeing all campaigns and programs (e.g., lead scoring) while collaborating with the business systems team on CRM integration, field mapping, automation, troubleshooting, and communicating any changes or implications on existing processes.
  • Drive the continuous development and enhancement of lead lifecycle workflows, data enrichment, lead scoring, segmentation, and multi-touch drip nurture campaigns.
  • Oversee the contact database by establishing programs for quarterly updates, enrichment, cleansing, deduplication, and segmentation to uphold data quality and integrity.
  • Collaboratively develop, implement, and document standards and definitions with Sales Operations for marketing processes and campaign follow-up that facilitate effective pipeline generation through SLAs.
  • Create and maintain marketing dashboards to monitor and measure key metrics against targets and campaign effectiveness—providing insights and recommendations for enhancement.
  • Partner with FP&A to analyze demand generation budgets and ROI reporting, ensuring all marketing expenditures are accurately tracked against quarterly and annual plans.
  • Manage list imports and attribution reporting from conferences, content marketing, and other marketing initiatives to ensure an efficient transition to the sales team.
  • Promote best practices in various marketing technologies, including Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Terminus, LeanData, ZoomInfo, or similar database tools, and Domo or similar BI tools.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • B.A. in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing operations role within a SaaS organization.
  • Proficient user of Salesforce and Marketo for managing lead databases and executing lead scoring and email nurture campaigns.
  • Skilled in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and the ability to join large datasets for streamlined data analysis and reporting.
  • Possess a growth mindset, eager to learn and adapt within the first few months.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities to take ownership of the marketing operations function and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exhibit impeccable attention to detail and adherence to deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to distill complex information and datasets into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with a collaborative mentality.
  • Passionate about technology, an excellent communicator, and driven to learn and enhance processes.

Compensation: $80,000 - $140,000 annually

Additional Compensation: Eligible for bonuses.

The final compensation will be determined based on various factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
