Job Title: Educational Technician

South Portland School Department is seeking a part-time Educational Technician to support our staff and students.

The successful candidate will assist teachers as assigned and support students in maintaining a safe, responsible, and respectful environment. This includes teaching and reinforcing expected school-wide behaviors as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with instructional tasks and support student learning
  • Support students in maintaining a safe and respectful environment
  • Teach and reinforce expected school-wide behaviors

Working Hours:

17.5 hours per week during the school year, Monday through Friday, 9:55am - 1:25pm. On early release days, the hours are 9:10am-12:40pm.

Requirements:

  • Maine State Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) authorization required
