We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Afterschool Teacher to join our team at Waynflete. As a key member of our Auxiliary Programs team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for our students after school.
Responsibilities- Supervise and engage with students in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and hands-on science exploration.
- Collaborate with Lead Teachers to develop and implement program ideas and schedules.
- Assist with homework help, games, and other activities designed to promote student learning and socialization.
- Organize and supervise students during outdoor play and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful program.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on program developments and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 1+ years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedicated to working collaboratively with a diverse team of talented educators.
- Passion for working with children and creating meaningful experiences.
