Job Summary

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join our team. As a Patient Care Associate, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic care to acutely ill patients, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. You will also perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and equipment
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred, but will train
  • 1 of the following: PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification, EMT certification, or enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework
