Assistant Nurse Manager

The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the nursing team, this individual will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing administrative and operational duties to support the department's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to develop and implement policies, programs, and services that align with the hospital's vision and philosophy.
- Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care, focusing on excellence, compassion, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct patient care staff on the assigned primary shift, ensuring that competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to patients and customers.
- Support the development and implementation of short- and long-term goals and objectives, working collaboratively with other service and department leaders.
- Ensure that all information, including HIPAA Protected Health Information, is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification, consistent with Albany Medical Center policies and standards.
This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations, nursing practices, and leadership principles. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, they will be familiar with Albany Medical Center's policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
