Job Summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the nursing team, this individual will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing administrative and operational duties to support the department's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to develop and implement policies, programs, and services that align with the hospital's vision and philosophy.
  • Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care, focusing on excellence, compassion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and support to unit-based staff, ensuring that competent and compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services that promote patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
  • Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of nursing principles, policies, and procedures is essential, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
