Shift Supervisor

At Vickers Engineering, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 30 hourly workers and ensuring the smooth operation of our production floor.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of production workers and provide guidance and support as needed
- Perform tool changes and troubleshoot tooling and fixture problems
- Work with the Quality Control department to ensure high-quality products
- Train and mentor new and existing operators on all jobs
- Perform basic machine maintenance and repair
- Assist in the development and implementation of 5S
- Understand and follow company rules and procedures
- Issue verbal and written warnings to operators as needed
- Assist with PLEX errors and maintain a high level of operator efficiency
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of leadership experience
- Working command of the English language
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and use basic math
- Ability to operate a fork truck
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
The shop environment can be dusty and noisy, and the floor may be uneven due to forklifts and heavy equipment. The temperature and climate can fluctuate, and there may be drafts and interior temperature changes. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including safety glasses.
