Position Overview: The Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) operate as essential Emergency First Responder Providers, delivering immediate support to individuals facing mental health challenges or substance use crises, including those at risk of self-harm. The team works in close partnership with local law enforcement to ensure a coordinated response to urgent situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to mental health emergencies within designated areas.
- Conduct assessments, engage clients, and implement de-escalation techniques to stabilize crises.
- Facilitate connections to appropriate services and resources.
- Collaborate with community stakeholders, including law enforcement and service providers.
- Evaluate behavioral health symptoms and identify crisis-related needs.
- Develop comprehensive safety and crisis prevention plans.
- Adhere to established guidelines and protocols for Mobile Crisis Response Teams.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree with New York State Licensure as an LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC is required.
- Consideration for unlicensed clinicians may be available.
- Experience in clinical triage and assessment for emergency and urgent situations.
- Knowledge of local resources to address diverse and complex needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
