About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Compass Health. As a Designated Crisis Responder, you will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention services to individuals of all ages experiencing acute behavioral health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention mental health services to individuals in crisis or at risk of crisis, utilizing evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care.
  • Evaluate individuals for involuntary detention when necessary, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote recovery and stability.
  • Collaborate with community partners, including law enforcement, emergency medical services, and other healthcare providers, to ensure seamless care coordination and crisis response.
  • Provide support and backup to team members as needed, and participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a behavioral science-related field, such as social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Current licensure or certification as a mental health professional in the state of Washington, or equivalent experience.
  • Qualification as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Experience working in medical, mental health, or social services, preferably in a crisis intervention or emergency response setting.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
