Job Summary

As a Civil Engineering Technician with Cherokee Nation, you will play a crucial role in assisting civil engineers to plan and design constructions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate dimensions and create detailed dimensional design layouts for projects.
  • Review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions.
  • Prepare reports and records project data.
  • Develop plans and estimates cost for construction projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Design expertise.
  • Computer skills.
Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to handle or feel objects. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift 25 to more than 100 pounds.

Other Requirements

The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
