Job Overview

The State of Washington seeks an experienced Government Liaison Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Office of the Secretary of State, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative matters within the Elections Division.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the principal assistant on administrative matters to the Elections Division Director
  • Provides outstanding administrative support to facilitate the efficient functioning of the Division
  • Liaises between the Division and other OSOS Divisions, state agencies, and committees

Requirements
  • Four years of administrative experience including responsibilities such as composing business communications, coordinating office operations, establishing office procedures, making business travel arrangements, managing records, planning conferences and events, preparing reports, processing financial information, managing supervisors calendar/schedule or tracking legislation
  • Current Washington State Driver's License or have requested and obtained an appropriate accommodation
  • Ability to efficiently use a personal computer and applicable software to successfully perform the essential functions of the position

Salary and Location

This position is located in Tumwater, WA, with a salary range of $47,988 - $64,440 per annum. The selected candidate will be required to work physically in the office and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
