Position Overview:

The HR Service Center Representative acts as the initial point of contact for inquiries related to human resources within the health system.

This position is responsible for providing requested information or taking appropriate measures to resolve, refer, or escalate issues to the relevant team members, ensuring high-quality service from the HR Shared Services department.


Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:
None required.

Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies:
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant applications including Workday. Familiarity with Human Resources Policies and Procedures. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service capabilities. Ability to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently. Detail-oriented, especially in handling numerical data. Effective time management skills to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Responds to inquiries regarding recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and benefits within the Human Resources department.

Performs data entry in relevant applications following established practices; ensures accuracy and completeness of information, follows up on necessary details, and communicates with relevant parties as needed.

Investigates discrepancies in work performed to guarantee timely and accurate processing with appropriate approvals.

Maintains various filing systems; accurately documents interactions with potential candidates, employees, former employees, and retirees.

Provides reception duties including greeting customers, answering phones, and initiating communications to address customer needs, as well as scheduling appointments when necessary.

Maintains database information; processes data updates and tracks information for reporting purposes. Assists with departmental initiatives such as Open Enrollment, benefits fairs, performance evaluations, and other special projects.

Decision-Making Authority:
Exercises independent judgment in making minor decisions where options are limited and standard policies have been established.

Collaborative Relationships:
Engages directly with patients and customers. Collaborates with internal and external customers through phone or face-to-face interactions. Works alongside other healthcare professionals and staff.
