Role Summary: The MongoDB Global Communications team seeks a seasoned public relations expert to spearhead comprehensive PR initiatives for a leading software enterprise. This position is crucial for establishing MongoDB as the top choice for developers and a frontrunner in modern AI application development. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of managing a dynamic in-house team and collaborating with PR agencies to achieve impactful outcomes that elevate brand awareness through strategic media placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance visibility for MongoDB Atlas as the premier developer data platform across major cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with various teams to execute campaigns that boost brand recognition through owned, earned, and social media channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists in key markets to promote MongoDB's vision.
  • Support communications initiatives at both virtual and in-person events.
  • Formulate long-term strategies to amplify MongoDB's messaging and identify proactive storytelling opportunities.
  • Lead the PR strategy for product launches, ensuring compelling narratives and effective media outreach.
  • Position MongoDB leaders as industry thought leaders through articles, speaking opportunities, and interviews.
  • Oversee the development of press materials, ensuring alignment with MongoDB's brand voice.
  • Innovate new methods to engage developers through diverse outreach channels.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in communications, particularly within technology firms or high-growth SaaS companies.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts into engaging business communications.
  • Strong judgment and high standards, consistently delivering measurable results.
  • Ability to educate and advocate for complex technology concepts internally and externally.
  • Proven leadership skills with the capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in monitoring PR trends and competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Strong networking skills and a commitment to building media relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Knowledge of data-driven communication strategies.
  • Management experience with a focus on mentoring a high-performing PR team.
