Role Summary: The Global Communications team seeks a public relations leader with a robust background in managing proactive PR initiatives for top-tier software firms within the technology sector. This position is crucial for establishing MongoDB as the go-to platform for developers and a frontrunner in modern AI application development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance visibility for MongoDB Atlas as the premier developer data platform across major cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with various teams to execute campaigns that increase awareness through owned, earned, and social media channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists in key regions to promote MongoDB's vision for contemporary application development.
  • Contribute to communication strategies for both virtual and in-person events.
  • Formulate long-term strategies to amplify MongoDB's messaging and identify proactive storytelling opportunities across marketing channels.
  • Oversee comprehensive PR strategies for product launches, ensuring impactful media outreach and visibility.
  • Position MongoDB leaders as industry thought leaders through articles, speaking opportunities, and media engagements.
  • Manage the creation of press materials, ensuring alignment with MongoDB's brand voice and accuracy.
  • Innovate new storytelling methods to engage developers through various outreach platforms.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in communications, particularly within technology companies or high-growth SaaS environments.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts into engaging business narratives.
  • Strong judgment and high standards for delivering results consistently.
  • Proven ability to educate and advocate for complex technology concepts both internally and externally.
  • Leadership confidence to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in monitoring PR trends and industry news to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Proven networking skills and relationship-building with media professionals.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with data-driven communication strategies.
  • Management experience with a focus on mentoring PR professionals and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and program execution.
