Tower Crane Product Support Specialist

Terex Cranes, a leading manufacturer of lifting and material processing products, is seeking a skilled Tower Crane Product Support Specialist to join their team in Wilmington, NC. This role will provide primary engineering and applications support for Tower Cranes Americas and global legacy parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the sales team in selecting systems and configurations for customer requests.
  • Evaluate tower crane configurations, loading, climbing sequences, and corresponding loading for customers.
  • Analyze special installations not covered by Cranes documentation.
  • Provide customers with assessments, guidance, and repair procedures for damage and non-standard circumstances.
  • Support the service team in evaluating and guiding legacy tower, crawler, truck, and mobile crane service issues and special applications.
  • Generate lift ratings for standard and special legacy crawler, truck, and mobile crane applications.
  • Assist the parts team in sourcing, pricing, and evaluating materials, components, and special assemblies for current and legacy machines.
  • Input data into TMS and maintain data entry into Teamcenter PLM system for current and legacy products.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or Civil.
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD and 3D Solid Modelling software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and NX.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, weld procedures, and materials selection.
  • Ability to work independently and use available resources to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships.
  • Accuracy, reliability, and flexibility.
  • Good communication skills and customer focus.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Results-driven and action-oriented.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and fellow teammates at all levels.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% (national and international).
