Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to provide technical support for our North American Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper technical application of our commercial vehicle products, creating and documenting technical information, and collaborating with the engineering team in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide application engineering support for OEMs, including mechanical and electrical engineering departments
  • Develop and manage series production bill of materials for Voith Electric Drive and DIWA Automatic Transmission products
  • Perform first article inspections for new products and applications
  • Generate vehicle performance simulations for Voith Electric Drive projects
  • Draft and release application engineering bulletins
  • Coordinate and perform product testing, data acquisition, and data analysis
  • Develop technical solutions for commercial vehicle products
  • Support the Director of Engineering with sales and technical developments
  • Support Complaint Management team for in-house and field complaints
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-year degree in engineering curriculum, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and presenting technical specifications
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft software packages
  • CAD and solid modeling experience desired
