Your Role in Patient Care:

As a Lead Behavioral Therapist at Eating Recovery Center, you will be integral to a dedicated team that provides direct treatment, therapy sessions, and support to our patients, either in one of our facilities or through our virtual tele-behavioral health platform. You will conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions for adults, children, and adolescents, focusing on issues such as mood, anxiety, stress, and eating disorders. You will also create personalized treatment plans for each patient and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure effective implementation.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering psychotherapy through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Performing thorough assessments and developing treatment plans for each patient in your care:
    • Conducting biopsychosocial, self-harm, and suicide assessments.
    • Collaborating with treatment team members to formulate individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals.
    • Drafting treatment agreements, support plans, or behavior plans as necessary.
  • Completing clinical documentation for each patient, including:
    • Treatment plans.
    • Progress notes for individual and family therapy, as well as group notes.
    • Wellness and aftercare plans.
    • Discharge summaries.
  • Participating in treatment team meetings and rounds to coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.

Essential Qualifications for Primary Therapist I:


• A Master's or Doctorate Degree in counseling or a related field is required.


• Registration as an associate or intern in the licensure process, or compliance with state requirements for practicing individual therapy.


• Preferred experience in individual and family therapy.

Essential Qualifications for Primary Therapist II:

  • Must possess and maintain a full clinical mental health license as mandated by the state.
  • Must have managed a significant individual and/or family caseload for a minimum of 2 years, demonstrating success in treating patients with common diagnoses and associated comorbidities.

Essential Qualifications for Primary Therapist III:

  • A minimum of 3 years of post-licensure experience in treating mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders, and/or trauma-related disorders.
  • Experience in supervising other clinicians is preferred.
  • Proven success in managing a significant individual and/or family caseload, particularly with more complex cases.
