Job Summary

Marion County is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide intensive, highly integrated, and community-based treatment services to individuals with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and treatment of individuals and families, including groups
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention services and related duties as required
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy services using evidence-based practices
  • Provide case management services, including determining individual service needs and making referrals to other agencies
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to provide coverage to individuals in crisis
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
  • One year of postgraduate degree experience in the behavioral health field
  • Licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors or the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers
  • Credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • LCSW, CSWA, or eligible for LCSW licensure
  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive/special needs position. Final candidates selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for marijuana.
