Our comprehensive treatment programs cater to those facing challenges with eating disorders, mood disturbances, anxiety, and trauma-related issues.
Your Role in Patient Care:
As a Clinical Therapist at Eating Recovery Center, you will be integral to a dedicated team that provides direct treatment, therapy sessions, and support to our patients either in one of our centers or through our tele-behavioral health platform. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions (for adults, children, and adolescents) focusing on various topics including mood disorders, anxiety, stress management, and eating disorders. You will develop personalized treatment plans for each patient and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to execute these plans effectively.
You will engage with patients in several impactful ways:
- Facilitate psychotherapy sessions, including individual, group, and family therapy.
- Perform thorough assessments and treatment planning for each patient on your caseload:
- Complete biopsychosocial evaluations, self-harm, and suicide risk assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals in collaboration with treatment team members.
- Create treatment agreements, support plans, or behavior plans as necessary.
- Complete clinical documentation for each patient on your caseload, including:
- Treatment plans.
- Progress notes for individual and family therapy as well as group sessions.
- Wellness and aftercare plans.
- Discharge summaries.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and rounds to coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
Essential Qualifications for Clinical Therapist I:
• A Master's or Doctorate Degree in counseling or a related field is required.
• Registration as an associate or intern in the licensure process, or as required by state regulations for practicing individual therapy.
• Experience in individual and family therapy is preferred.
Essential Qualifications for Clinical Therapist II:
- Must possess and maintain a full clinical mental health license as mandated by state regulations.
- Must have managed a significant individual and/or family caseload for a minimum of 2 years, demonstrating success in treating patients with common diagnoses and associated comorbidities.
Essential Qualifications for Clinical Therapist III:
- A minimum of 3 years of post-licensure experience working with mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders, and/or trauma-related conditions.
- Some supervisory experience with other clinicians is preferred.
- Proven success in managing a significant individual and/or family caseload, particularly with more complex cases.
