POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sous Chef will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen within a vibrant culinary environment. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of food quality and service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in menu creation and development, focusing on innovative dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients.
  • Supervise and mentor the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team atmosphere.
  • Manage inventory and control food costs to optimize profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a passion for food.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in culinary management within a high-end food service setting.
  • Strong knowledge of diverse culinary techniques and the ability to instruct others.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a polished approach to managing a busy kitchen.
  • Ability to maintain composure and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000 annually, determined by factors such as experience and qualifications.
