Location: The Culinary Team Leader oversees all aspects of food preparation, menu execution, product ordering, and inventory management.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Direct a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service while embodying the core values of the Eau Claire YMCA.
+ Assist the Kitchen Manager in training and developing kitchen staff.
+ Ensure the kitchen, storage areas, and receiving docks are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
+ Aid in product ordering and keep a close watch on inventory levels, food deliveries, and special events.
+ Monitor and manage food production and waste effectively.
+ Uphold cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and safety standards in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
+ Report any accidents or incidents involving staff and guests promptly.
+ Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and sanitation.
+ As a 24-hour operation, staff may be required to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays to meet the needs of members and guests.
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of two years of experience in food service management with a leadership role.
+ At least one year of experience in ordering and inventory management.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen equipment and its proper use.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and effective communication skills.
+ Basic computer proficiency.
+ Ability to embody and communicate the YMCA's four core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Essential Functions: The Culinary Team Leader, under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager, is responsible for managing all aspects of food preparation, menu execution, product ordering, and inventory oversight.
