Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

The Nisqually Indian Tribe is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join their team at the Nisqually Generations Healing Center. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the tribe's technical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the tribe's virtual and physical servers, SAN/NAS, VOIP/cell phone apps, and other critical applications.
  • Develop and implement system and application designs, and ensure high availability and acceptable performance levels.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues and negotiate costs.
  • Perform daily server backups and weekly off-site rotations, and develop disaster recovery procedures.
  • Manage the SQL server infrastructure and develop new system and application implementations.
  • Establish guidelines for the installation and management of host computer operating systems, disk arrays, fiber channel switches, and other components.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the tribe's technical systems and data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system and application configurations, and provide training to staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years of experience in server and storage hardware, software, including VMware, IBM Server and Storage Systems, Windows, Linux.
  • VOIP technology experience, preferably Cisco.
  • MCSE and/or VMWare VCP certifications preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, network architecture, and technical project management. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
