Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing compelling content that showcases the achievements and stories of various stakeholders including faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
  • Managing both digital and print communication channels to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Creating strategic plans that highlight educational programs, research advancements, and community engagement.
  • Coordinating content aimed at student recruitment and alumni relations.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with alumni and community partners.
  • Participating in events organized by the department and the wider community.
  • Providing editorial support for research proposals and publications.
  • Designing visual aids for reports and presentations.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to recognition committees.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Communications to align strategies with institutional goals.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with digital content management and social media platforms.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with knowledge of AP style.
  • Experience in creating engaging visual content and promotional materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse community.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following will be given preference:

  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative-taking.
  • Experience in public relations within an educational setting.
  • Skills in photography and video production.
