Radiologic Technology Clinical Educator

Position Overview
The Radiologic Technology Clinical Educator (C.E.) is a vital role within the imaging department, requiring a registered radiologic technologist (R.T.) with a minimum of four years of professional experience in a healthcare environment. The C.E. is expected to possess a thorough understanding of educational techniques pertinent to the supervision and assessment of students in a clinical context.

Key Responsibilities
  1. The C.E. will uphold professional competencies at the highest standards and demonstrate expertise in Diagnostic Imaging, directly influencing the learning experience of student technologists.
  2. Occasional supervision of diagnostic x-ray procedures will be part of the role.
  3. The C.E. will provide a comprehensive clinical education experience that aligns with a competency-based educational framework, overseeing the daily instruction of students.
  4. Collaboration with other qualified professionals is essential to ensure students receive a diverse and enriching educational experience.
  5. Maintenance of student attendance records, daily assignments, and shift schedules will be required, along with conducting competency evaluations and completing additional assessment tools as per the program's schedule.
  6. Communication with the Diagnostic Imaging Director and the Program Director regarding all student activities affecting clinical performance, patient care, and ethical standards is crucial.
  7. Addressing and resolving student grievances will be part of the responsibilities, with direct communication to the appropriate supervisory personnel as needed.
  8. Time allocated away from direct student training will be utilized to fulfill the responsibilities of a registered technologist as assigned by the Lead Radiologic Technologist.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program accredited by the American College of Radiology, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

A minimum of four years of experience as a staff technologist is required, along with demonstrated knowledge of educational methodologies related to the supervision and evaluation of students in a clinical setting.
