Job Overview:
As a vital member of our dining team, you will ensure prompt and delightful food service across our various dining venues. Your responsibilities will include assisting servers with tasks such as delivering food, clearing used dishes, and preparing tables for incoming guests, all in alignment with Omni Hotels' esteemed standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dining stations for service.
  • Restock necessary supplies in side stations.
  • Consistently refill pitchers with ice water.
  • Receive and warm rolls for service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or captain.
  • Pre-set breadbaskets with napkins.
  • Complete side work as required.
  • Collect and manage linen.
  • Check off and gather supplies from the storeroom.
  • Set tables with clean, pressed linens, china, silverware, and glassware.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of furniture and floors.
  • Assist servers during meal periods.
  • Remove any unnecessary table settings.
  • Pour water and serve rolls and butter as directed.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.

Tools and Equipment:

  • Computer, printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photocopying machine, filing cabinet, and facsimile machine.

Work Environment:

  • Interior and exterior areas of the hotel, with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals and food items.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to accept guidance and coaching.
  • Basic understanding of the English language.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and coordinate hand-eye movements throughout the shift.
  • Capability to lift and carry 15 to 20 pounds.
  • Flexible scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays.
  • Clear tables of dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linens.
  • Ability to work split shifts and straight shifts.
  • Willingness to cross-train and work in various dining outlets.
  • Ability to perform tea service.
  • Must obtain Tips and ServeSafe certification prior to employment.
  • Demonstrates ownership of situations and ensures guest satisfaction.
  • Empowered to resolve guest issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of appropriate language for a fine dining environment.
