As a Senior Account Executive on the OpenText Cybersecurity Team, you will play a critical role in driving digital transformation for global clients. You will partner with key stakeholders to identify and address complex business challenges, leveraging our cutting-edge Cybersecurity solutions to accelerate clients' journeys to the cloud.

Your Impact

In this role, you will be responsible for targeting assigned accounts for our Cybersecurity product portfolio, representing our key pillars within Application Security, Data Security and Data Privacy, Security Operations, and Identity & Access Management. You will collaborate with Solution Engineers, Product Leaders, and Channel Organization to provide specialist expertise within the sales team, driving proactive initiatives to generate pipeline through direct prospecting, networking, and BDR campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect new greenfield accounts using modern prospecting techniques and utilizing available resources to generate a qualified pipeline.
  • Understand whitespace in a territory of accounts and promote new product placements into all accounts.
  • Manage the sales process from solutions identification to solution delivery, ensuring successful product placements.
  • Build strong customer relationships and address customer requirements with an associated return on investment.
  • Lead customers through a buying process and challenge their thinking, applying the right resources and information.
  • Act as a conduit to the product teams and GTM product leads to build an overall strategy for product reach in this account space.
  • Pursue new clients, develop business, and network with passion.
  • Create strong business relationships and negotiate large enterprise software deals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of successful software sales experience in a similar space/accounts with a proven track record.
  • Collaboration and the ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Verifiable achievement of consistent quota attainment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to tell compelling customer stories that inspire change.
